We do everything possible to make our auctions fair and transparent. Please read the following information before you bid and buy.
Registration and deposits
Registration to bid is free. You may be required to place a refundable bid deposit. Online registration only.
Every auction is unreserved
Every item is sold to the highest bidder on auction day, with no minimum bids or reserve prices. Owners are forbidden by contract from bidding on items they are selling. Bids are irrevocable, and all sales are final. If you're the highest bidder when the item closes, you're the new owner of that item.
Everything sells "as is, where is"
We recommend that you visit the auction site to inspect any items you'd like to buy before bidding on auction day. You may also send someone to the site to conduct the inspection on your behalf.
Transaction fees for buyers
Please note : Effective January 1, 2024, our transaction fees structure has been adjusted; Each purchased Lot will be subject to a transaction fee of:
Canada
With the exception of on-farm auctions, each purchased Lot will be subject to a transaction fee of: (a) 15% on all Lots selling for CAD 5,000 or less, with a minimum fee of CAD 100 per Lot, (b) 10% on all Lots selling for over CAD 5,000 up to and including CAD 12,000, with a minimum fee of CAD 750 per Lot, (c) 4.85% on all Lots selling for over CAD 12,000 up to CAD 75,000, with a minimum fee of CAD 1,200 per Lot or, (d) CAD 3,638 on all Lots selling for over CAD 75,000.
For on-farm auctions, regardless of whether you are bidding online or in person, each purchased Lot will be subject to a transaction fee of: (a) 10% on all Lots selling for CAD 12,000 or less, (b) 3.85% on all Lots selling for over CAD 12,000 up to CAD 40,000, with a minimum fee of CAD 1,200 per Lot or, (c) CAD 1,540 on all Lots selling for over CAD 40,000.
USA and Mexico
Each purchased Lot will be subject to a transaction fee of: (a) 15% on all Lots selling for USD 5,000 or less, with a minimum fee of USD 100 per Lot, (b) 10% on all Lots selling for over USD 5,000 up to and including USD 12,000, with a minimum fee of USD 750 per Lot, (c) 4.85% on all Lots selling for over USD 12,000 up to USD 75,000, with a minimum fee of USD 1,200 per Lot or, (d) USD 3,638 on all Lots selling for over USD 75,000.
Europe (except United Kingdom)
Each purchased Lot will be subject to a transaction fee of: (a) 15% on all Lots selling for EURO 5,000 or less, with a minimum fee of EURO 100 per Lot, (b) 10% on all Lots selling for over EURO 5,000 up to and including EURO 12,000, with a minimum fee of EURO 750 per Lot, (c) 4.85% on all Lots selling for over EURO 12,000 up to EURO 75,000, with a minimum fee of EURO 1,200 per Lot or, (d) EURO 3,638 on all Lots selling for over EURO 75,000.
United Kingdom
Each purchased Lot will be subject to a transaction fee of: (a) 10% on all Lots selling for GBP 6,500 or less, or (b) for Lots selling for greater than GBP 6,500, GBP 650 plus 2.35% on such amount greater than GBP 6,500.
Middle East
Each purchased Lot will be subject to a transaction fee of: (a) 15% on all Lots selling for USD 5,000 or less, with a minimum fee of USD 100 per Lot, (b) 10% on all Lots selling for over USD 5,000 up to and including USD 12,000, with a minimum fee of USD 750 per Lot, (c) 4.85% on all Lots selling for over USD 12,000 up to USD 75,000, with a minimum fee of USD 1,200 per Lot or, (d) USD 3,638 on all Lots selling for over USD 75,000.
Australia and New Zealand
8% of the Lot selling price, with a minimum fee of 100 (local currency) per Lot.
Japan
(a) 10% on all Lots selling for JPY 1,000,000 or less, with a minimum fee of JPY 10,000 per Lot, or (b) 4.85% on all Lots selling for over JPY 1,000,000 up to JPY 3,400,000, with a minimum fee of JPY 100,000 per lot, or (c) JPY 164,900 on all Lots selling for over JPY 3,400,000.
The transaction fee applies to online purchases.
Documentation Fees
United States, Canada and Mexico
A $115 documentation fee will be charged on each titled item purchased if it is located in the United States (excluding California), Canada or Mexico.
In California a $70 fee applies.
Germany and The Netherlands
A €65 documentation fee will be charged for foreign buyers on each titled item purchased if it is located in Germany or The Netherlands.
An additional €15 will be charged on items with Dutch registrations (at Moerdijk auctions) and items with German registrations (at Meppen auctions).
France
A €40 documentation fee will be charged on each titled item purchased.
Italy
A €132 documentation fee will be charged for foreign buyers on each titled item purchased.
Spain
No documentation fees
Dubai
A $100 documentation fee will be charged on each title transfer handled by Ritchie Bros.
Payment and removal
Purchases must be paid in full within seven (7) days of the end of the auction. Buyers cannot remove their purchases from the auction site until their invoice is paid in full. Cash payments will not be accepted. Please only pay from the same Ritchie Bros. account under which you made the purchase.If Ritchie Bros. can't convey clear title on a purchase, the buyer is entitled to a full refund of the purchase price. If Ritchie Bros. does not receive full payment within seven (7) days of the end of the auction, interest on overdue amounts will be paid by the buyer at a rate of 18% per annum or at such other maximum rate as allowed by law, together with any legal or collection costs incurred by Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers.

Additional Notes
Belasting over de toegevoegde waarde (btw)
Btw en andere mogelijke geldende belastingen zijn de VERANTWOORDELIJKHEID VAN DE KOPER. De volgende regels zijn van toepassing op aankopen gedaan tijdens veilingen die fysiek in de Europese Unie plaatsvinden.
Belasting over de toegevoegde waarde (btw) is van toepassing in de volgende gevallen:
Voorwerpen die in het land blijven waar de veiling plaats vindt.
Bedrijven die gevestigd zijn in het land waar de veiling plaats vindt.
Kopers uit de EU die geen geldig btw-nummer kunnen tonen en/of kopers uit de EU die geen geldig bewijs van transport (CMR invullen) kunnen tonen binnen 90 dagen na factuurdatum.
Kopers buiten de EU die niet binnen 90 dagen na factuurdatum correcte en volledige exportdocumenten overhandigen aan RBA.
Geldig transportbewijs voor kopers uit de EU
Een geldig CMR-document moet het volgende bevatten: het Ritchie Bros. bedrijf als de afzender in box 1, itemnummer en volledige itemomschrijving in box 6, handtekening van de ontvanger in box 24 en de resterende gebruikelijke gegevens.
Geldig transportbewijs voor export
Officiële douanedocumenten geleverd door de toepasselijke douaneautoriteiten Het toepasselijke Ritchie Bros. bedrijf moet vermeld worden als de exporteur op het exportdocument. De items moeten duidelijk omschreven worden en identificeerbaar zijn. Wij vereisen definitief bewijs van export (o.a. "exit confirmation" of bevestiging "goods departed"). Alleen de intentie is niet voldoende.
Belangrijke opmerking voor kopers van buiten de EU
Kopers die goederen uit de Europese Unie exporteren (kopers van buiten de EU) dienen een borg te voldoen op al het belastingvrije materieel gekocht op de veiling. De borg komt overeen met het lokale standaard btw-tarief berekend over de aankoopprijs van het materieel. Deze borg wordt binnen vijf (5) werkdagen teruggestort op de opgegeven bankrekening van de koper na vertoning van bewijs van export. Dit bewijs van export kan geleverd worden door uw douaneagent of expediteur. Kopers van buiten de EU dienen nauwkeurige bankgegevens te leveren voor een spoedige terugstorting van aanbetalingen.
Om de btw-borg te vermijden kunnen kopers van buiten de EU gebruikmaken van de services van RB Logistics of van een van de door RBA aangestelde transportbedrijven:

Machinerichtlijn van de Europese Unie
Met ingang van 1 januari 1995vereisen bepaalde items in deze veiling mogelijk CE-markering. Items die de CE-markering niet dragen worden te koop aangeboden onder de voorwaarde dat de koper die de intentie heeft dergelijke items te verkopen of gebruiken binnen de Europese Unie de nodige maatregelen treft om de items te certificeren, indien en zoals vereist door de wetgeving van de Europese Unie over machines, geïmplementeerd in de nationale wetgeving van de lidstaten in kwestie. De koper is verantwoordelijk voor alle kosten gerelateerd aan certificering en upgrading. Neem contact op met de fabrikant of zijn of haar geautoriseerde vertegenwoordiger binnen de EU voor details.
Douane entrepot
De veilingen te Moerdijk (NL), St-Aubin (FR) en Ocana (ES) worden gehouden in een douane entrepot. Bepaalde voorwerpen die in de lijst van te verkopen voorwerpen, of anderszins aangekondigd tijdens de veiling als "Not Duty Free Circulation EU" zijn niet in de Europese Unie ingevoerd. Het is de verantwoordelijkheid van de koper om aan de eisen te voldoen voor het invoeren in de Europese Unie of in enig ander land. Deze verantwoordelijkheid betreft het in overeenstemming handelen met wet- en regelgeving van het land inclusief het betalen van belasting en accijnzen, het verkrijgen van de benodigde toestemmingen en andere eisen. De verkoper zal zelf een tussenpersoon inschakelen. Ritchie Bros zal geen Belasting Toegevoegde Waarde (BTW) in rekening brengen over deze voorwerpen indien ze op de juiste wijze zijn vrijgesteld. Nominale kosten voor papierwerk om de voorwerpen uit te klaren uit de vrijstellingszone zijn van toepassing. Douane expediteurs zullen op het veilingterrein aanwezig zijn om deze dienst aan te bieden.
